Haba village

Haba is a Syriac word “hobu” that means love, and this is one of the characteristics of its kind and honorable people.
It is a medium-sized village, with a current population of nearly 2,000, while the number of expatriates is estimated at 600.
One of the distinguishing features of this village is that it is crowded in the summer and quiet in the winter. It extends on a wide plateau of green lands and olive groves, with large forested areas.
It is surrounded by several other villages, which are Beit, Ain Al-Rehana, Al-Jamsiliya, Beit Aslan, Ain-Sahen and Al-Barqiah.
Many of its residents depend on agriculture mainly to earn their daily livelihood, and there is a high percentage of educated, doctors, teachers, engineers and also craftsmen who have mastered their craft and succeeded in it, whether inside or outside the village, and a large part of its people are expatriates in the countries of the Americas, Europe and the Arab Gulf states.
The residents of the village of Haba are distinguished by their generous qualities, their generosity, their courage, and their good manners, as you will enter this village and leave it feeling happy because of the kindness of its residences.
Most of the buildings in the village are newly built, but the old buildings and heritage have a large share of the area of the village. It has the oldest monastery among the neighboring villages, which is the St. Simon Al-Amoudi Monastery, the Church of the Virgin Marry and many small caves, which are believed to be burials dating back to ancient times.
Currently, the village has a health center, a school, several medical clinics, in addition to a dental clinic and several pharmacies. Also, there are several restaurants, retail centers (shop), a small car repair workshop, and an olive press.
The people of the village are constantly developing the village and improving its appearance with the help of the expatriates in some of the things they need to reflect their civilization and sophistication and remain a tool for attracting expatriates to return to the village, whether for a summer vacation or permanent residence.
